How to Dress Like You Have Money (when you don’t)

When I started in real estate, I was less than poor. So I had to learn how to do everything with almost no money, including how to dress myself to look like I had more than $1 to my name. Here are a few tips for dressing for success when you have no money. 

Don't be Afraid of the Consignment Store

There are some really cool things at thrift shops. I still have the first suit that I got from a consignment shop. It fit me like a glove, and I felt like a million bucks in it.

Black + Basics

The next thing you need to utilize when you're poor and trying to look like you're not is a lot of black clothes and basics. These can be dressed up without much effort and reused multiple times a week. 

Accessorize

If you're going to spend money on anything, spend it on accessories. Scarves, jewelry, and shoes can be used to dress up all of your plain clothes.
